I have had superb work carried out by Sam and Crown Tree Services over the last 18 months – nothing is too much trouble and you always get an explanation for the work and how it will benefit the garden in due course. Work is clean and the tidy up is immaculate so can only recommend this top class service for any garden management.

Ongoing tree pruning and tree management carried out over several visits in the Cornelscourt area of Dublin.
This work included pruning and crown reductions to several trees, with the aim of maintaining amenity while supporting tree health and allowing the garden to develop over time.
Work included crown thinning and crown reduction of a maple tree, including rebalancing by removing an awkward dog-legged rear bough. A flowering cherry was reduced and thinned by selectively removing the thickest crown leaders and rebalancing the remaining crown growth. A dead standing cherry was dismantled and taken away.
Cedar height and spread reduction was delayed after the discovery of a late nesting wood pigeon. Although the main nesting season had finished, this bird was still sitting on its last egg of the year in mid-September. I estimated it could be late October to early November before returning to complete the cedar work, allowing time for the chick to fledge. When I returned the nest had vacated and work was carried out as planned. See photo below.
Further work included a substantial crown reduction of a veteran beech, viburnum pruning to clear a pathway, and dismantling a small evergreen Lawson cypress tree to ground level. All branches were chipped and all timber was removed from the garden.
Where pruning is carried out in stages, it is often useful to observe how the trees and garden respond across upcoming or following growing season before deciding on further work.
